Pamela Gutierrez (66) of Machesney Park, born March 17, 1958 to Mary L. Taylor (Conkle) and John D. Wilson, went home to the Lord and Savior on July 14, 2024 due to an unexpected heart attack. She was a deeply faithful, God fearing woman and was a graduate of Harlem High School in 1976. She was also a dedicated Tax Professional at H&R Block for 28 years.
Pam loved watching David Jeremiah on TV, watching her Chicago Cubs baseball games, reading books (especially the Bible), playing cards (Hand and Foot), and family oriented activities. Whether it was going to cookouts, musicals at the Starlight Theater, family dinners, spending time with family and studying her Bible, all of which were very important to her. Pam loved giving to everyone and loved seeing smiles on their faces. Pam showed love to everyone in her life. She loved her family so much, from her siblings to her children and her precious grandchildren. Her church family was also very important to her. Pam was a one of a kind woman, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
Pam is survived by her beloved husband, German F. Gutierrez of 36 years; her children Kyle McVay (Elizabeth), Carissa Ruffcorn (Michael Jr.), and Enrique Gutierrez (Nora); her grandchildren Michael Ruffcorn III, Caleb Ruffcorn, Connor Vondra, Wesley McVay, Esperanza Gutierrez, and "Baby G" on the way; her siblings Sandy Gregory, Curt Wilson, Mike Wilson, Rick Wilson, Keith (Jan) Wilson, Roy Conkle Jr. (Angie) and Kim Conkle; and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Pam was predeceased by John D. Wilson, Mary L. Conkle, Eric McVay, Zachery Ruffcorn, Logan Ruffcorn, and Darrell Gregory.
A visitation will be held at Berean Baptist Church (5626 Safford Road, Rockford, IL 61101) on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11am - 12pm, followed by a Home Going Service at 12pm. Pam will go to her final resting place at Sunset Memorial Gardens (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A Celebration of Life Luncheon at Berean Baptist Church will follow the burial.
