Max R. Ward, 82, of Loves Park, passed away on June 11 at Swedish American Hospital. Born on January 9, 1931 in Walnut Ridge, AR, he was the son of Wizner and Mabel (South) Ward. He married Pauline Higgins on July 18, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, AR.
A dedicated family man, Max retired from National Detroit after 29 years of service.
He enjoyed spending his time volunteering for many different organizations such as Rescue Missions, Food Pantries, and nursing homes. Also, he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing gospel music, fishing, and golfing but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Pauline Ward; sons, Tom (Deanna), and Paul (Cindy) Ward; daughters, Linda Ward, Pam (George) Jameson, and Carol (Riley) Thurber; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, son, Kenny; sister, Leatrice; and brother, Ola.
