Mary F. Torgerson, 81, of Rockford, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, January 30, 2017. Born April 17, 1935 in Corning, AR. Daughter of Phillip and Nellie (DeArmon) Ditto. Married Ralph Torgerson on January 6, 1954. Member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ralph; children, Randy (Julie) Torgerson and Becky (Larry) Johnson; grandchildren, Kenna Johnson, Rachel (Robert Allgaeuer) Torgerson, and Mary “Katy” Torgerson; great-granddaughter, Alexis Allgaeuer; siblings, Forrest Ditto, Phillip (Sue) Ditto, Ruth (Ron) Potter; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Predeceased by her parents, grandson, Eric Johnson; brother, Farris Ditto.
Funeral Service at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 3 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation at noon until time of service. Burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
