Mary Louise Parker

Mary Louise Parker, age 85, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born January 1, 1939 in Waterloo, Arkansas, the daughter of Victoria Box and John Moss. She worked most of her life in retail. Mary received her formal academic education in Rockford Illinois. She was baptized at Providence Baptist Church at an early age. Mary was instrumental in teaching her children life skills. Mary also taught her children how to read effectively at a very early age. Mary was a woman of many talents and gifts, a faithful and diligent worker. Mary enjoyed reading and watching basketball. Mary liked cooking in her younger years. She also enjoyed playing cards.

Mary is loved and missed by her children, April Holland, Jerry Parker, Samantha Parker and Alesia Parker; eight grandchildren; Starkisha Parker, Antwone Parker, Ambria Parker, Renisha Parker, Victoria Parker, Lashaunda Parker, Ashley Holland and Marko Parker ten great-grandchildren; Lakesha Iverson, Laron Smith, Lamarcus Smith, Jamarion Parker, Jariah Parker, Na’Riah Parker, Ra’Mire Kilgore, Ri’Anah Kirkpatrick, Messiah Parker, Leland Smith Jr., J’adore Goodwin. two great-great-grandchildren Iris Smith and Santana Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Parker; father John Moss, daughter, Michelle Parker; two grandchildren, Jerrisha Goodwin and Allani Henry; brother Willie Jamerson and sister, Dorothy Slay.

A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Sunset Funeral
