Mary Angeline Njaramba, 33, of Rockford, IL, passed away suddenly, Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born March 23, 1990 in Thika, Kenya, the daughter of Stanley and Jane (Munyiri) Muthami. Mary graduated from Harlem High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services in Boston, MA. She loved listening to music, cooking, traveling especially to the beach.
Mary is loved and missed by her son, Byron Gillespie III "Tatu"; parents, Stanley Muthami and Jane Njaramba; siblings, Charles Muthami and Lucy Nyambura Njaramba; several grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Juliet Njaramba.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. A burial will occur Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115.
