Lyle C Smith

Lyle served in the US Army in World War II. He loved to fish and was a member of the Moose Lodge. But most of all, he loved his grandchildren, they were his “pride and joy”.

He was a lifetime truck driver.

Lyle is survived by his children; Scott (Linnet) Smith, Kevin (Peggy) Smith, Kyle(Cindy) Smith and Craig (Cindy) Smith; stepchildren; Don and Larry Clark; grandchildren, Kevin Smith II, Kara Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Keith George and Korey George; great granddaughter, Melody George; siblings Merle (Vivian) Smith, Earl (Fran) Smith, Ruth McKiski, and Verna (Harvey)Gahl.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally and parents Floyd and Margaret.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 18, 2013, 10am at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be given to Moose Heart.
