Linda R. Stoinski, 78, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her family in the early hours of Sunday, February 4, 2024. Linda was born to Francis and Alice Stock in Chicago on June 27, 1945. Growing up in Chicago, Linda found herself learning the ways of a devout Catholic attending Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart, Chicago IL. She was active in all parishes in which she was a member (Prince of Peace, Lake Villa IL, St. Bede, Ingleside, IL, St. Bridget’s, Loves Park IL) & would find her place in the church community every Sunday.
Linda was a passionate beautician for over thirty years. She was a creative seamstress, baker and a generous self-less volunteer to others. Linda worked at State Bank of (Antioch) the Lakes, after attending Mario Tricoci Beauty School, worked at Mueller Hair Salon, Raymond’s Hair Design, and a sales representative of Party-Lite, Nu Skin, and Satin Smooth.
Linda was an amazing source of selfless giving and generosity throughout her whole life. A devoted wife to Robert for over 60 years, a loving mother of four children and eleven grandchildren. Linda was well loved and respected by her three sisters, two brothers, her nieces and nephews and extended family. Linda enjoyed numerous and deep friendships throughout her life with her generous inclusiveness and caring for others. She was known as a ‘second mom’ to many of her nephews and nieces and ‘second grandma’ to their children.
She was rarely found idle due to her industrious spirit and blessed with talents for cooking, sewing, crafts, hair design, and always found ways to share her talents and gifts with everyone around her. Volunteering her time and giving to others was her passion. She was a part of the Catholic Women’s’ League and Sewing guild.
She is survived by the love of her life, Robert Stoinski; children, Karen L. (Stoinski) Lynch of Denver, Colorado, Steven R. (Linda Wachholz) Stoinski of Lander, Wyoming, Kenneth A. (Mary Kay Charles) Stoinski of Wittenburg, Wisconsin, and Michael W. (Heidi Carlson) Stoinski of Lindehurst, Illinois; grandchildren, Matthew, Kendall, Luke, Jacob, Benjamin, Rachel, Kelsey, Andrew, Joshua, Allison, and Adalaide; siblings, Carole Ann (Stock) Becker of Antioch, Illinois, Michael (Rita Devine) Stock of Des Plaines, Illinois, and Gregg Stock of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alice; siblings, Jean (Stock) Mack, Patricia (Stock) Gazdzicki, and Judy Stock.
A visitation for Linda will take place Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111
