With her family at her side, heaven rejoiced as it welcomed Lillian C. Kobischka of Rockford, IL to her eternal home on Friday April 20, 2012. Lillian was born in Chicago on August 12, 1933, the daughter of Raymond McCabe and Lillian S. (Streit) McCabe. Lillian enjoyed baking, especially her delicious banana bread, crocheting, reading, and daily she successfully worked the newspaper crossword puzzle and cryptoquote. She also immensely enjoyed the regular Sunday morning family gatherings at her home after Church. Although raised Catholic, Lillian was a long-time member at Christ United Methodist Church and often crocheted prayer shawls and lapghans for distribution by the church.
