Kenneth L. Boyce

Kenneth L. Boyce, 81, of Rockford, IL passed away on October 4, 2022. He was born in Horatio, SC on February 7, 1941 to Eugene and Daisy (Norris) Boyce. Kenneth graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1959 and then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army from 1963-1965. He married the love of his life, Mildred Benson, on July 12, 1986. Kenneth worked for over 30 years as a Supervisor at Saws International. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. Kenneth will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mildred; his children, Rolanda (Carl) Miller and Jeffery Benson; his grandchildren, Joshua (Melinda) Miller and Andrew (Amna) Miller; his great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Austin, Idris, and Raniya; and his sisters, Sadie Agnew and Nancy Teeters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Daisy; and his brothers, Hubert Boyce and James Boyce.

Funeral Service for Kenneth will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens-Chapel of Love.
