Janice "Babydoll" M. Gulley

Janice M. Gulley, 64, of Rockford, IL, left this earthly life, Sunday, December 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 23, 1958 in Rockford, the daughter of James Threadgill and Feola Gulley. Janice graduated from West High School. She attended West Side Church of Christ. Janice worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years. She was an excellent cook, dancer and singer. Janice enjoyed getting her gossip from the National Enquirer and giving her money to the casino. She adored the holidays with her family and traveling as much as she could. Janice was a bright light in our lives and her spirit will never dim.

Janice is loved and missed by her significant other, Freddie Fort; children, Naomi Fort, Nakisha (Hershel “Pooh” Graham) Fort and Anthony (Kiera Harmon) Fort; grandchildren, Malik Jordan, Mavanie Flint, Xzandria Fort, Darius Fort, Nyssa Smith, Myeisha Glover, Jamir Smart and Zyus Fort; siblings, Carol Sue “Patty” Gulley, Terry Porter, Eric Gulley, Sherell Coleman, Penny Sims, Twanette Gulley and James Threadgill, Jr.; special niece, Veronica Coleman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Feola Gulley and James Threadgill.
