Glenda J. Maris, 76, of Harvard, IL, passed away on August 6, 2022. She was born in Missoula, MT on October 8, 1945 to Glenn and Marie (Schaff) Larson. Glenda spent her early years living in Montana, her father was a successful banker and the Senator of Montana for two terms. Glenda earned her Bachelor Degree at the University of Montana and went on to Fashion Design School in New York. She was an artist who loved to collect art, an interior designer, and an exceptional cook. Glenda was an equestrian in her younger years and passed her love for horses on to her daughter and grand-daughter. She enjoyed traveling all over the world and enjoyed participating in dog shows. Glenda was a unique character and enjoyed making others laugh. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Stacy (Jon) Larsen; her grandchildren, Emma Wissman and Frannie Wissman; her cousin, John Houston; and her furry companion, Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Marie.
The family is planning a memorial gather for family and friends at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
