Eric R. Rose

Eric R. Rose, 49, of Freeport, IL, passed away on August 6, 2022. He was born in Fridley, MN on February 20, 1973 to Earl Rose and Gail Swengston. Eric attended Rosemont High School in Rosemont, MN. He married his soulmate, Wendy Peterson on November 22, 2003. Eric was a self-employed contractor and used his artistic abilities to do his own tattoos. He and his wife Wendy enjoyed spending time together playing World of Warcraft and Skyrim. Eric had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. He never met anyone that wasn’t deserving of help. Eric loved his family but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He left this world way too soon and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Eric is survived by his wife of 19 years, Wendy; his daughter, Brianna; his step-children, Amanda Barmore and Eric Lance Crabb; his grandchildren, Rowan and Jace Barmore, Sterling Rose; his mother, Gail Stanley; his father, Earl (Ruth) Rose; his sisters, Stephanie (Sean) Bulenrose and Kristin Rose; his nephew, Edmond Simon; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life for Eric will be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesnesy Park, IL 61115. There will be a moment of sharing at 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
