Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Wojciechowski, age 52, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born May 23, 1971 to Martha “Ann” (Brickey) and Thomas Fiorenza in Rockford, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Mark Wojciechowski, on April 5, 1997. Liz graduated from Harlem High School in 1989 and received her Bachelors in Science from the University of Louisville in 2019. She worked at Walgreens for over 20 years, working her way up from pharmacy technician to a district trainer. Most recently she worked as a trainer for Woodstock Sterile Solutions.
As a child Liz enjoyed camping and road trips with her family. With her own children she enjoyed going on cruises and a trip to Europe. Liz was very crafty, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, making cards, ornaments to remember those who had passed, and baby gowns. She loved spending time with her family, was known as a hockey mom, and would always carve out time to talk to her parents.
Liz is survived by her husband, Mark Wojciechowski; children, Anna and John Wojciechowski; sister, Jennifer Rehnberg; and father Thomas Fiorenza.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha “Ann” Fiorenza.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF).
A visitation for Liz will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. An extended visitation will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115.
