Donna J. Figlik, 79, of Loves Park, IL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 25, 2022. She was born in Kenmare, ND on December 4, 1942 to Carl and Esther (Erickson) Heglund. Donna married the love of her life, Kenneth Figlik, on October 6, 1962 and together they raised 2 wonderful girls. She had a passion for shopping and was a friend to everyone she met. Donna enjoyed being out in her yard admiring her flowers and feeding the birds. She had a large family being 1 of 9 siblings and grew up on her family’s farm. Family was very important to Donna and she was the best wife, mom, and grandma. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Donna is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Kenneth; her daughters, Sherry Adolph and Kelly (Richard) Terasaki; her grandchildren, Joshua Adolph, Brianna Terasaki, and Ashlyn Terasaki; her sisters, Darlene Stone and Carolyn (Darold) Behnke; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Esther; her siblings, Blaine, Gloria, Lorraine, Wayne, Kermit, and Marjorie.
Celebration of Donna’s life will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL. Private family burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
