Debra Ann Montana, 59, of Rockford passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019. Born October 9, 1959 in Rockford, Daughter of Elmer Lyle and Gladys Louise (Molander) Wilt. United in marriage to Thomas Montana on August 14, 1982 in Cherry Valley Methodist Church. Debbie’s career spanned from working at the Winnebago County Health Department to working with the Rockford Public Schools. She found great enjoyment in walking her dog Bingo, road trips, laughing, pizza, going to Northern Wisconsin with family for boating, fishing and camping, anything Disney, rescuing any animal she found, going to Florida and especially anytime spent with family. Her love of swimming carried over to her girls and she never missed a swim meet. Sundays were always having family over for lunch and swimming in the backyard pool.
Survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas; daughters, Megan (Jacob), Emily (Anthony) and Kelsie; granddaughters, Ava and Evelyn; siblings, Michael (Larry) Wilt, Pamela (Steven) Jeske; special dog, Bingo. Predeceased by her parents.
Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Friday February 1 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.
