David L. Wartgow, 84, passed away on March 10, 2020 at Park Manor in Park Falls, Wisconsin. He was born July 13, 1935 in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Arthur and Olive Wartgow. He was one of 4 siblings. He married Phyllis Ridlon on October 6, 1956. They lived in Belvidere, Illinois and he worked at Belvidere Sunstrand for over 30 years. After retiring, they moved to Butternut, Wisconsin, where he was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. David was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis, brother Gene Wartgow and granddaughter, Karlie Sell.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Wartgow; sisters Judy Hart and Sharon Teter; children, Ron (Teresa) Wartgow, Gary (JoAnne) Wartgow and Doreen (Dave) Sell; grandchildren, Karen (Kevin) Panke, Mike (Lindsey) Wartgow, Garret (Katie) Sell, Amy Sell, Jonathan (Lauren) Sell, and Steve (Amanda) McMahon; step-children, Rob Radlinger, Tom (Julie) Radlinger, Amy (Pat) Miesbauer and many great-grandchildren.
A walk through visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
