David William Schultz

David William Schultz, 74, of Rockford, Passed away August 25, 2019. At Agrace Hospice in Maddison WI. Born on April 23, 1945 to Dorothy Schultz in Galena IL. David knew the value of being a simple man, and enjoyed the little things life has to offer. Things like western movies, nature walks, and long car rides, are ways that he liked to spend his time. His family remembers him as the “road map” himself, with the way he could always figure out the way to go. David was also one to enjoy rides on the motorcycle, and watching wrestling on TV. On March 14, 1974 David married the love of his life, Penny Doyle. They spent 45 years of their lives together. David was a special husband, who would always take time to help with dishes after a hard day of working with his hands.

He is survived by his wife; Penny Schultz, children; David Schultz Jr (Kirstin,) Bradley William (Crystal Lynn) Schultz, Buffie (Shawn) Lieb, and Linsey (David) Dailing, grandchildren; Maggie (Chris) Cherney, Jeff Schultz, Irisha Buker, Tennes Morris IV, Justine Schultz, Collin David Morris, Alyscea Buker/Schultz, Kadence, Logan and Jaxyn Dailing, and Joseph Murphy Jr and Raymond Murphy, as well as two great grandchildren; Bryan and Jeremiah.

He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy Schultz , and siblings.

A funeral service for David is scheduled for Friday, August 30, at 2PM at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. A visitation will be held at 1PM until the time of service.
