David A. Freymiller, 87 of Loves Park, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. Born on May 20, 1926 in Scranton, ND, he was the son of William and Mabel (Hemphill) Freymiller. On December 28, 1962, he married Norma Davis in Belvidere.
A WWII United States Army veteran and graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering, David was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Rockford.
He was an avid reader and Green Bay Packers fan, who enjoyed walking, watching game shows, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Marsha (Dana) Bailey, James (Kathy) Freymiller, Kim Witt, Scott (Gina) Freymiller, and Karen (Jerry) Martin; eight granddaughters, Nicole, Taylor, Hillary, Natalie, Madelyn, Lindsay, Ashley and Haley; four grandsons, Bryce, Jake, Charlie, and Evan; two great grandchildren, Lilli and Zayden; brother, Dale Freymiller; and a sister, Ruth Neff.
Funeral Service 1 p.m. Thursday, August 29, at Christ Lutheran Church, 425 Riverside Road, Belvidere, Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. Visitation 12 p.m. to time of service at the church. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
