Daphene Campbell, 91, of Rockford went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 1, 2021. Daphene was born December 18, 1929 in Richwoods, Arkansas, the daughter of Haney and Stella (Helms) Oldham. She graduated from Pocahontas Highschool, class of 1947. Daphene married John on May 29, 1949. They were married seventy one years. After their wedding they moved north and settled in Rockford.
Daphene worked many years at the catalog department of Sears. She loved taking care of her family, especially making delicious meals that included everyone’s favorite dishes. She was a long time member at Forest City Baptist Church. You would often find her helping out in the nursery or kitchen.
Survivors include her son Doug (Ruth) Campbell, grandchildren Holly (Matthew) Seng and Jill (Billy) Iaccino, great grandchildren Ronon and Knox Iaccino.
Predeceased by her parents, brothers Willie, Carson (Toye), Truman, and sisters Knowlas (Bill) Teel, Opal (Quentin) Ivy, Willene (G.H.) Johnson.
Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney, Park IL. A memorial service to be held at a later date.
