C.J. Klewin, 61, of Rockford, surrendered with courage to his battle with cancer. A life well celebrated he was a buddy, friend, sweetheart and husband to his loving wife, Mickey. Together they embraced all that life had to offer them, tropical travels, their memorable fishing vacations in Canada on Lake Minnitaki, and their struggles with cancer, they drew strength and comfort from each other. Born in Rockford, IL. October 15, 1955 to Clinton and Eva Klewin. C.J. worked as a millwright for Elco Industries for over 30 years.
He is survived by wife, Mickey; stepdaughter, Dawn Phillips; niece, Annette Knorr; nephew, Doug Knorr; faithful friends, Roger Phillips, Lee Edwardson, Fred Graber and Roger Naveroski. Predeceased by parents, Clinton and Eva; sisters, Marie Klewin and Linda Knorr.
A celebration of C.J.;s life will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Private entombment.
