Charles "Chuck" "Frank" Daugherty, age 78, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Charles was born in Mount Hope, West Virginia on June 8, 1945 to Russell and Bessie Daugherty. After his schooling Charles went on to become a manager at Clinton Electronics and later finished his career in management at The Salvation Army in Loves Park. On March 17 of 2020 Charles married the love of his life, James McDuell. Charles was a private and quiet person, he enjoyed reading, gardening, staying up to date with the news, and watching animals in nature.
Charles is survived by his husband, James McDuell; siblings, Anna Van De Verie, Retha Daugherty, Larry Daugherty, Clark Daugherty, and Jim Daugherty; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
