Burl L. Wurm

Born July 23, 1937, in Shullsburg Wisconsin. He was the youngest child of Bert S. and Geraldine A. (Lyne) Wurm’s seven children.

Burl served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1964 as an airframe mechanic. He married Brenda Collins in 1958. He moved to Rockford in 1964. He married Patricia (Miles) McKinney in 1966. He was employed at Cotta Transmission Co. from 1964 until retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Arie 392, from 1985 until his passing.

Survivors include daughters Kelly Keinz of Oceanside, CA, Peggy Barnes of Rockford, IL, Rhonda Rossiter of Albuquerque, NM, and Robin Marske of Rockford, IL. Sons Michael McKinney of Rockford, IL, and Rick (Tracy) Wurm of Davis Junction, IL. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Predeceased by his loving wife Patricia, in 2005. His mother, and father. Sisters: Lorraine, Kathleen, and Anita. Brothers: Kenneth, Keith, and Wayne. Grandson Shaun Watts, granddaughter Brandi Barnes, and grandson Brandon Bowles.

His visitation will be May 20, 2024, from 4:00-7:30 PM

Funeral Services are May 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM
