Ann Marie Ramirez

Ann M. Ramirez, 55, died Tuesday October 25, 2016. A life well celebrated, Ann filled her home with love and embraced all the guests who entered. Respectfully she earned the title of “mom” from her children’s friends. Born November 20, 1960 in Rockford, IL. to James and Jeanine (Riley) Cook. She married Ricco Ramirez and together shared 33 years while raising their sons. For many years, Ann worked in the kitchen at East High School, where she enjoyed serving all the kids. Tenderly she cared for her house plants and flowers richly nourishing them with her green thumb. Ann loved baking cookies, but more satisfying was serving them to everyone, especially her “no bake’ cookie recipe.

She is survived by parents, Jim and Jeanine Cook and Donna (Ferman) Gregg; husband, Ricco; sons, Alec and Anthony (Sydney) Ramirez; brothers, Michael (Clarice) Cook, Danny Cook, John (Karla) Cook; sisters, Colleen (Tom) Stinson, Theresa Dalton, Vickie (Jim) Ferrell, Renee (Derwin) Garner, Deanna (Rodney Thomas) Ramirez. Predeceased by grandparents.
