Angelo S. Conti

Angelo "Bud" S. Conti, age 88, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Bud was born on December 19, 1934 in Rockford, Illinois to Carl and Marie Conti. Bud left high school and joined the United States Air Force, serving for 4 years during the Korean War. After serving in the military Bud returned home to Rockford, just a year later, he met the love of his life, Charlene Bankes. In 1957 Bud married Charlene and they spent 59 beautiful years together before Charlene's passing in 2016.

Bud is survived by his children, Victor (Robin), Mark (Teresa) Conti, Valerie Jones, Matt (Lori) Conti; grandchildren, Laticia, Christina (Nigel), Jamie, Jennifer (Mat), Mark Jr. (Andrea), Jason, Jack, Angela (Justin), Shonda (the late Jerry); 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchild; brother, Carl Conti Jr.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Conti; step granddaughter, Chantel; parents, Carl and Marie Conti; siblings, Jack Conti, William Theodore Conti, Reola Schindler, and Theresa Conti.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens (Chapel of Peace).
