Adele A. Chojnicki, age 91, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. She was born April 7, 1933 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred B. and Alma C. (Hulin) North. Adele graduated from Lyons High School in Clinton, Iowa, and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army from 1952-1954. She married Joseph Chojnicki on June 11, 1961 and went on to settle in Loves Park, Illinois. Adele was a dedicated member of Pebble Creek Pentecostal Church in Loves Park for many years. She enjoyed needlepoint, gardening and socializing at the Community Center in Loves Park. Adele loved doing jigsaw puzzles in her spare time.
Adele is survived by daughter, Colleen (Mark) Wagaman; and grandchildren, Ethan and Madison Wagaman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe in 1999, son Stanley in 1998, one brother and one sister.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
