After a long battle with Huntington's Disease, Veronica Sue Tillery, age 55, of Mabank, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones who will all continue to honor her legacy by raising awareness for her terrible disease, and carry on her memory.
After raising four children, Veronica decided her need to take care of others knew no bounds, and she become a CNA to help the elderly for a time. She touched many more lives during her work at the nursing homes.
Anyone who knew her would say she was a bit rowdy, but that was only the exterior.
There wasn't a stray animal she could pass on the streets who would say differently. She loved dancing to After Midnight by Patsy Cline, blasting music, and driving fast cars.
Veronica is survived by her husband, Alva Tillery; two sons, Justin Brown, Chris Tillery; two daughters, Stacie Shelton, Ami Grimes; two brothers, Raymond Brown, Tim Brown; two sisters, April Rodriguez, Tammy DeShazo; 5 Grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
