Tommy was born on July 31, 1940 in Cross Roads, Texas to parents Bert Doak Hallett and Mary Alice Simmons Hallett and entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2015 at the age of 74. Tommy loved being outdoors; fishing, hunting, gardening and working on old cars. He was a brick layer for many years prior to opening a barbecue restaurant. In 1997 he opened Tommy’s BBQ in Gun Barrel City. Tommy was an amazing man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father Bert Hallett, granddaughter Toni Lynn Drinning.
He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Hallett of Gun Barrel City, children; Sherry Renee Hallett and Russell of Seven Points, Leland Doak Hallett and wife Melissa of Irving, Tommy Keith Pritchett of Edgewood, Lisa Williams and Gary Hanson of Dallas and Scott Williams of Gun Barrel City, grandchildren; Samantha, Chase, Jessica, Harley and Meagan, three great-grandchildren, mother Mary Alice Hallett of Royce City, brother Don Hallett and wife Teresa of Royce City, sister Elaine Lenamond and husband Doug of Dallas, other loving family members and many more friends.
