Tom was born Christmas Day 1943 in Fort Worth, TX to Edwin Newton Huff and Marjorie Louise Paxton. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School, attended Texas Wesleyan College, and served in the Naval Reserves.
Tom married his high school sweetheart, Gayle M. Tregre, on July 1, 1965, and the two shared 58 years together. He worked in sales for Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages for fifteen years, where he made many lifelong friends, and later worked in the mortgage industry before retiring at Cedar Creek Lake near Trinidad, TX. There, Tom and Gayle spent countless days enjoying their favorite pastime – relaxing on the water. He was a devoted husband and father who always placed the health and happiness of his wife and son as his top priority.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edwin Paxton Huff. Survivors are wife, Gayle, and son Chris of Pearland, TX. A small, private gathering will be held in celebration of his life; in Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the SPCA of Texas.
