Thelma Joyce McManus

Joyce was born on September 4, 1946 in Greenville, Texas to parents Billy Leon and Zelma (Cotten) Weatherly and entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2016 at the age of 69. Joyce enjoyed working in flower beds and in the yard. She was the fabric of the family. Joyce was a hard working mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother. Early in life she worked as a seamstress, later she worked at a retail distribution center for fifteen years. Joyce fulfilled her role as a pastor’s wife being married to Pastor Franklin McManus for 53 years. She also did missionary work in Africa in the early 2000s. Joyce was a loving caring lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Leon McManus and her parents.

She is survived by son Lonny McManus of Red Oak, daughter Lynn Calhoun and Sean of Canton, son Dale McManus and Janith of Ennis, daughter Janine Korn and James of Mesquite, sister Joan Jones of Fruitville, sister Loraine Leach and Jim of Canton, brother Norman Thompson of Kaufman, sister Edna Duncan and Ray of Mabank, grandchildren Crystal, Joseph, Jonathan, Amber, Justin, Alisha, Darla, Matthew, Taylor and Tyler, great-grandchildren Beau, Lacey, Lillian and Travis, other family and many more friends.
