Terrie Clay-Taylor was born on July 30, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to parents Roy and Bonnie (McCoy) Clay and entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2019 at the age of 52. Terrie owned and operated her antique shop in Canton, Texas for 7 years. She loved going garage selling and looking for antiques. Terrie was tough, hardworking and outgoing. She enjoyed riding around in her Jeep and doing yardwork. Terrie loved rock and roll, especially AC/DC. She loved going to the Galveston Ocean with her husband, this was one her most favorite things to do. She loved the world, but her true treasures were her children and grandchildren. Terrie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved her.
Terrie was preceded in death by her father Roy Clay, mother-in-law Barbara Taylor-Marrs and brother Randy Clay.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Mark Taylor of Mabank, son Shane Owings and wife Laci Baxter of Mabank, son Timmy McKinney of Mabank, son Shawn Taylor of Gun Barrel City, daughter Linsey Taylor of Eustace, grandchildren; Alexis Elliston, Sammantha Taylor, Lanee Taylor, Remi McKinney, Kason Hillger, mother Bonnie Clay of Mabank, sisters; Shannon Steele and husband Allen of Gun Barrel City, Barbara Lathers of Cleburne, Debra Galloway and husband Gordy of Cleburne and Tina Clay of Cleburne brothers; Donnie Clay of Cleburne and Jason Clay of Mabank, her beloved dog “Ziggy”, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
