Sylvia Lois Hill

Sylvia Lois Hill was born on February 17, 1923 in Worcester, MA to parents Harry Schanberg and Bessie Cohen and entered into eternal rest on November 27, 2015 at the age of 92. Sylvia graduated from Dean Academy and was on the rowing, archery and sailing team. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Sylvia loved her family tremendously. She was a Cub Scout den mother when her son was younger. Sylvia loved to travel the world and made friends everywhere she went. She loved being outdoors and working on the farm. Sylvia enjoyed playing cards and spending time with the church women. She was a member of the Dallas Garden Club and Cedar Creek Library. Sylvia was a loving and caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard “Dick” Hill and sister Bernice.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Schanberg of New York, NY, son Richard Hill and wife Greta of Farmersville, daughter Kathryn “Katie” Spencer of Houston, grandchildren; David Hill of Dallas, Karen Glass of Dallas, Laura Hill of Dallas, Julia O’Malley and husband Stavros of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Michael Spencer of Houston, one great-grandchild Michael “Mikey” Spencer, other loving family members and many more friends.
