A mother of seven, a grandmother, great grandmother and even great, great grandmother.
She loved painting, RVing with friends, she was in Daughters of The American Revolution and enjoyed working in Busy Bees at her Church.
In her younger life, she built airplanes, owned a beauty shop, she was a hair stylist, and finally, became a surgical nurse; teaching her children that you can accomplish anything; if you are willing to do the work.
She married George W. Godson in 1990. That is when they began their great adventure for the next thirty-three years.
Sarah will be remembered and greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Pam Long, Geneice Clark, Michael Harmon, Loni Back, Mark Harmon, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by loving husband, George on; August 9th, 2023, Daughter; Sherry Maxy, son; Morris Harmon and grandson, Richard Tarr.
A Visitation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church from, 9am-10am and a Service at the First Presbyterian Church at 10am, 112 West Mount Vernon Street, Mabank, Texas 75147. Her burial will take place at 2:00 PM, in The Oaklawn Cemetery; Co Rd 1030 Cooper, Texas, after the service is concluded.
