Celebration of life funeral services for Robert Allen Payne, 53, of Granbury, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas with Pastor Brian Merchant officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 pm.
Robert passed away July 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1971, in Arlington, Texas to Roy Dean and Lucretia Batalaan (Paclibar) Payne. Throughout life Robert showed joy in many things. He loved listening to country music, going to church, gatherings with his family to eat, fishing and sports. Robert enjoyed going to Ranger games, watching the Cowboys play, and rooting for the UT Longhorns.
Robert is preceded in death by parents Roy and Lucretia Payne; grandfather, LeeRoy Payne; niece, Courtney Payne; uncles: Ronnie Hathaway and Bobby Orr.
He is survived by his beloved sisters: Beverly Schlueter and husband John, Gloria Sheffield, Judy Pack; brothers: Daniel Payne and wife Michelle, Richard Payne and wife Amanda, Bob Garcia and wife Angie; grandmother, Billie Payne; uncle, Danny Payne and wife Niki; aunts: Linda Hathaway, Lori Underwood and husband Bob, Lucy Hilton; Adrine Patrick and Feenyshia Watts from New Beginnings, Robert’s 2nd family; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Payne, Brandon Pack, Daniel Payne, Richard Payne, Charlie Abney and Bob Garcia.
