Richard Allan Tate

A Memorial service for Richard Allan Tate will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2019 in Mabank with Brother Jim Leach officiating. Richard was born on October 24th, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to parents Homer Knox and Elizabeth Anne. He entered into eternal rest at his home while surrounded by family on the 8th of November. He was a loving and generous father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard enjoyed life with numerous hobbies including fishing, watching football, carpentry, and rock n roll. Additionally, he enjoyed sharing food with family and especially looked forward to holiday meals. Richard graduated from Mabank High School and worked in retail management. He took great pride in his work and always strived for excellence in whatever task was at hand.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter Destiny Tate of Wills Point, twin brother David Tate and wife Lisa of Mabank, sister Angela Tate of Dallas, grandson Jaxson Lane Jr., other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
