Norma Eileen Roberts

Eileen “Leen” Norma Mallard Roberts, 74, of Athens, Texas passed June 24, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. She was born September 14, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to her late parents; John W. Bicknell and Norma C. Robinson Bicknell.

Eileen’s family moved to Texas and she graduated from the Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. She later moved to Athens and became a police officer with the Athens Police Department, where she retired as a dispatcher. She enjoyed Race Cars, Shopping and traveling with her family, especially going to the beach. Eileen loved animals and supported the local animal shelter.

Eileen is survived by her siblings; John W. Bicknell and his wife Elizabeth, Sandra Ammerman, step children; Rick Roberts and his wife Connie, Brian Mallard and his wife Linda, Rodney Mallard and his wife Robin, grandchildren; Rick Roberts, Jr., Stevie Roberts, Robin Mallard, Colby Mallard, Bryce Mallard, II., Madison Mallard, Morgan Mallard, Jaxon Mallard, Jaden Mallard, great grandchildren; Pippa, Weldon, Margo any many other relatives and friends. Eileen was preceded in death by her, husbands; Earl Roberts, Jasper Mallard, siblings; Hank Bicknell, Peggy Harman and Donna Smith.

A Memorial Life Celebration will be scheduled in the near future at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.
