Mickey Don Lewis was born in Fort Worth Texas on September 21, 1939 and passed away on November 20, 2015 in Dallas, Texas after a battle with cancer. He grew up in East Dallas and attended Mt. Auburn Elementary, J L Long Jr High and Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked in Dallas for a film company for a number of years before he moved to Mabank in 1973, where he worked for Attaways Food Store and then Food Fare Store. He retired in 1987 to help care for his Mother.
Mickey was preceded in death by his mother Lois Lewis, father Herman Lewis and brother Charles Lewis. He is survived by his brother Jerry of Longview, son Kevin Lewis and wife Jennifer of Flower Mound Texas, three grandchildren Lauren, Landon, and Luke. Mickey had numerous nieces and nephews; Robert Lewis, Cheryl Arnold, Claudia Nichols, and Stewart Lewis, also many great- nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
Mickey loved the lake and fishing with his friends and family. He also loved watching sports especially the Cowboys and Aggies. Mickey’s passions were the extended family History of the Lewis family in The Tri County Area and share the stories and pictures with the younger generations.
He will be missed.
