Lula Nell Ballow, 94 years old, was born on September 3, 1929 and went to meet our Lord on May 31, 2024. She resided in Athens, Texas for 61 years.
She worked at the Athens Nursing Home for 22 years (from 1967 to 1989) at which time she retired.
She had 5 children: Robert Crowell, Georgia Jordan, Danny Crowell, Billy Crowell, and Ricky Crowell all of Athens, Texas. Lula’s long-time friend, David Meyers, preceded her in death. Survived by 12 nieces and nephews. She outlived all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two on the way, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. A celebration of life luncheon will be held following the service at her home at 502 Highland Dr. Athens, Texas.
