Larry Steven Carlisle was born on November 8, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Charles and Gladys (Johnson) Carlisle and passed away on March 27, 2018 at the age of 67 in his home. Larry went to welding school in Duluth MN. He then got into Operating Engineers for Local 49, 601, 302 and 12. Larry also was a Pipeliner for many years. Larry worked hard to provide for his family and he got to travel all over the United States. One of his favorite places he worked was in Alaska. In his spare time which he had little of he loved to go to the casinos or have BBQs with his family. He loved cooking for his family and friends and trying out new recipes. He made great chili, tacos and very unique pizzas. His travels took him to Louisiana where he met some amazing friends that he loved very much. Work then took him to Texas where he met his wife Dorothy fishing. They married shortly after in Aubrey, TX on March 7, 2015. Larry loved Dorothy very much, he would drive her nuts and then tell her how beautiful she was. He loved his kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dogs Boulder and Killer. Larry enjoyed watching Sci-Fi, John Wayne and Fox News. He was a true supporter of President Trump. Larry was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, all who knew and loved him will miss him.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, granddaughter’s Brittney and Allison and sister Dawn.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Carlisle of Gun Barrel City, son Shane Carlisle and Chantell (Palmdale, CA), daughter Christine Carlisle (Duluth, MN), daughter Kim Carlisle (Las Vegas, NV), daughter Angela Manninen and husband Peter (Boulder City, NV), son Eric Carlisle (Moapa, NV) , daughter Heidi Carlisle-Wade and husband Daniel (Boulder City, NV), mother Gladys Carlisle, step-son Michael Waldie, step-son Barry Waldie and step-daughter Kasey Waldie-Greenway; grandchildren Kimberly Draker, Charles Wade, James Wade, Phoebe Manninen, Amber Carlisle and Kaleigh Carlisle; step-grandchildren Silas Charbonneau, Isabell Soto, Gabby Greenway, Peyton Waldie, Haydyn Waldie and Kaitlin Williams; great-grandchildren Kayden Draker and Tucker Carlisle; step-grandchild Maya Soto; sisters Arlene Horihan and Brenda Carlisle; Aunt Beverly Merritt; and countless loving family members and many friends.
