Johnny Lusk was born on March 16, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to parents John Leon and Myruel Lavern (Freeman) Lusk and went to join his love, Mary Gayle Lusk, in Heaven on March 28, 2019 at the age of 61. Johnny graduated from Kemp High School in 1976. He married Mary, on March 27, 1976 in Kemp, Texas. Johnny then attended Sam Houston University. He worked for Red Dot Buildings in Athens for 20 plus years Johnny started in drafting and worked his way up to quality control. Johnny was dedicated to his work and he had an eye for detail. He loved Ford Mustangs and attending car shows. Johnny was a member of several Mustang Clubs. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kemp, Texas. Johnny was and amazing man, father, grandfather, son and brother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Mary G. Lusk,
who passed in November of 2016.
He is survived by his son Danny Lusk of Livingston, daughter Patricia Benitez and husband Manuel of Athens, granddaughters; Jennifer Lusk, Danielle Lusk, Gloria Pena, Cheyenne Pena, Mariana Benitez, Galilea Benitez and grandson Lorenzo Benitez, parents; John and Myruel Lusk, sisters: Pamela Earnheart and husband Michael of Kemp and Cynthia Hale and husband Rod of Kemp, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
