Jason and I have been friends since High School. I have so many good unforgettable memories with Jason as we snt alot of time together the first 5 years of knowing each other. He definitely taught me how to be cool at an early age. Out of high school I went to Houston to audition for a touring band. I had to go to Houston from Dallas every weekend that summer for rehearsals and Jason would volunteer to drive me and my drums to Houston many of those weekends to keep me company on those drives. We talked about everything under the sun, so much we would run out of things to talk about.  Also we both had night shift jobs during the week. We both got off work around 11pm and we would meet up and hang out until 4 am every night after work. Even though Jason knew I had to be at school(college) at 8am, Jason would persuade me to hang out with him until he was ready to go home. That is just how he was. We had alot of philosophy discussions, whether they were right or wrong, Jason had his opinion to share with me. Alot of good times were had back then. 
   He also taught me about camping and fishing. Things I could never forget. He always tried to stay in touch with me even though I was always playing rock and roll all over the US. He was a really good friend to me and I am going to miss him. He will never be forgotten!!!

I am very sorry to here that Jason has left us, I worked with him for many years and talked to him about work and other things often. Prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Jason was a great friend for many years.  My favorite times were when I lived next door to him with Patrick Hickey in Georgia . We shared many nights at the bars where he could sing karaoke. 
That's how he met Jill,  her and I worked at one of those bars, and she wanted to meet the guy that was singing. So I introduced her to him and the story continued till they made a life together.  Now I haven't seen Jason in years, but we talked for hours at least once a month until he got sick.
My story with Jason started in Biology class our junior year in highschool my best friend had a crush on the guy that sat next to me and it was him. 
I always enjoyed our long conversations that ranged from religion to politics to why the Steelhead swim upstream. 
I'm really going to miss those long talks. 
I loved Jason like a brother.
And I always knew he loved me too buy keeping up with me over 30 years.
I miss him 
And I pray for healing 🙏

Jason and I spoke last year sometime. He called me to get a little advice about something, but ended up giving me a little advice instead. Funny how that works out sometimes! We shared some good laughs and I learned a lot about fluoride and cloud seeding that day! Awesome.  Rest in peace Jason, and all our love to your family.

Jason- I am so sorry that I did not know you were sick and I am not there for you. Even though time has slipped away and distance has kept us apart, I hold you dear to my heart. I will always be thankful and never forget the kindness you showed me (and your family) by taking me in my senior year of high school all those years ago. You became a brother to me that I never had. We bounced all over the place causing mischief and mayhem which I still smile about to this day. So many stories that I hold close to my heart and helped shape me into the man I am today. Your influence on me has lasted a life time. I would not be who I am today without you. We played phone tag a few months back and I regret that we didn’t connect. Man, just to talk to you again, see your smile and laugh with you again. Just one more time. I miss you brother and I love you. I know you are in a better spot now. Bless you man. Bless your family and until we see each other again, hold down the fort and save a spot for me.

I've known Jason since high school. 1984. We met at 14 yesterday old. Always in leather back then. Jason was a cool cat. Just a great person. We ended up being next door neighbors in Atlanta GA back in the 2000s for a few years. We hung out alot in those days. I have always enjoyed talking to Jason. He was a really good person, and I know he believed in Jesus.
I pray that where his soul rests now.
Gone way too soon. I love the Barnett family dearly. God bless
