Flora Smith, age 91, of Eustace, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Flora was born January 29, 1931, in Fackler, Alabama; to parents, Luke Pelham and Eva Wilson. She was a loving and doting mother, grandmother great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; who loved spending time with her beautiful family. Flora was selfless and big hearted When she was able to work; she would invest her time as a Caregiver. Gifted with a green thumb; Flora enjoyed working in the yard, especially in her flower beds. She was remarkably talented in her garden, she could grow anything. Christian by faith, Flora attended the Grace Fellowship Outreach Church. She will be truly missed by all of those she met and knew.
Flora is preceded in death by her parents, John Luke Pelham and Angie Evaline Wilson; husband, William "Red" Lawrence Smith; twin sister, Dora Pelham; brothers, Dewey Pelham and Dick Pelham; and son John Smith.
She is survived by her children, James Smith of Eustace, TX., Kenneth Smith of Shreveport, LA., Eddie Smith and wife Sheila of Athens, TX., Angie Marie Horn and husband Bud of Las Vegas, NV.; daughter-in-law, Patty Smith-Hartshorn and husband Jeff of Eustace, TX.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm; located at the Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home. A Funeral service will take place Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00am in the chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home; officiated by Reverend James Smith and Reverend Patty Smith-Hartshorn. Followed by a burial at the Payne Cemetery, located in Eustace, TX.
