Flo Dell Harwell was born on May 3, 1932 in Yantis, Texas to parents Ellis and Joyce (Coker) Reed and entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2019 at the age of 86. Flo graduated from Yantis High School in 1950 and went to El Centro in Dallas, Texas. Just out of high school she played semi-pro basketball for Hazel Walker and the Arkansas Travelers. For many years she worked for First National Bank, Western Bank and Allied Bank. Flo was an amazing lady, she was very generous, kind, thoughtful and never met a stranger. She enjoyed making bracelets and other crafts. Flo was a member of Grace Community Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed being in the choir, and also doing solos at wedding and funerals. Flo volunteered some at the Outreach Center in Duncanville. She was a wonderful mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and aunt. Everyone who knew Flo will miss her dearly.
Flo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy E. Harwell, step-son Barry Harwell, brother Kenneth Paul Reed, brother Norman Reed, sister and husband Willow Dean Alcorn and Gilbert and nephew James Alcorn.
She is survived by her sons; Mark Kennemer and wife Becky of Magnolia and Dale Kennemer of Round Rock, granddaughter Amanda Weldon of Spring, great-grandson Chayston Crawford, sister Jo Nell Boyd and husband Thurman of Mineola, niece Donna Richardson and family of Lone Star, nephew Mike Alcorn and wife Pam, nephew Lee and Larry Boyd and families, step-children; Rick, Barry, Dale, Ann Apgar and families and numerous other nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
