Ernest Clinton Carter

Ernest Clinton Carter, age 80, of Malakoff, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Ernest was born September 20, 1941; to parents, Elzert Carter and Lizzie Duncan. He married the love of his life; Ellen, in Dallas, Texas on December 24, 1960. Ernest was a caring and doting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; who loved spending time with his beautiful family. He loved singing Karaoke, he shared his gift at many Opry houses in Texas. Ernest also loved his collection of classic cars. He will be truly missed by all of those he met in his lifetime.

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Elzert and Lizzie Carter; brothers, Larry Carter, Richard Carter, Cicero Carter, John Edward Carter; and son, Darrell Carter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ellen Carter of Malakoff, TX.; son, Timothy Carter and wife Tiffany of Eustace, TX.; daughters, Paula Martinez and husband Jimmy of Malakoff, TX., Kelsey Bone and husband Michael of Athens, TX.; sisters, Wanda Morale of Garden Grove, OK., Carolyn Hernandez of Dallas, TX., Linda Truesdale of Biloxi, MI., brothers, Bobby Carter of Dallas, TX., Tudor Crenshaw of Midlothian, TX., William Crenshaw of Alabama; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home; Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
