Elmer Woods Harris, was born in Devine, Texas to Denmin W. Harris and Loretta Evans Harris on June 17, 1928. He met his wife, Margie Atchley and they married on January 14, 1949.
Elmer's careers consisted of a surveyor all over Texas, a Water Superintendent in Marble Falls, TX, Manager of Water Well Fields in Roswell, New Mexico, Owner of a Used Car Lot in Roswell, New Mexico and Managed/Operated Harbour Light Marina in Seven Points, TX.
After retirement Elmer and Margie traveled the country in their Motorhome for 5 years and then made their home in Mabank, TX.
His true passion was Buying, Selling and Trading RV’s, Motor Homes, Boats and Trailers. He would say “Anything is for sale for the right price”.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Margie Harris, son Doug Harris and daughter Debbie Mercer
Elmer survived by his sister Dorothy Banks and his children Phyllis Pratt and husband Joe, Jerry Harris and wife Kim, Kathy Patteson and husband Russell, Shelly Horn and husband Steve as well as 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
(Our father was an avid outdoorsman.) He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and doing anything outdoors. What great memories we have. Our parents and family are having a great celebration in heaven.We love and miss you.

The Memorial Service will be; December 2, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas, 601 State HWY 198, Mabank, TX 75147.
