He was survived by his wife Mary Ann Phillips of Lone Tree, Colorado, sister Ann Phillips Pattridge (Bruce) of Leander, Texas and brother Paul Phillips of Kilgore, Texas. Don has a stepdaughter, Sheri Lynn Ewing Coffer (Scott) and a stepson, Gregory D. Ewing (Phyliss) of Evergreen, Colorado along with two grandchildren, Parker Benjamin Coffer and Elizabeth Wren Ewing both of Colorado. Don was survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded by his parents Elsie Julia Gilmer Phillips and Ezra Aaron Phillips, brothers Neil and Eugene Phillips and sister Barbara Phillips Friedlander.
A visitation service for Donald will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Mabank, Texas. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church, Gun Barrel City, TX.
