

Deborah Kay Rutledge was born on September 8, 1956 in Inglewood, CA to parents Jessie Daniel Rutledge and Shirley Pennington. Debbie entered into eternal rest on January 26, 2017 at the age of 60. Debbie grew up in Plano, TX and spent most of her life living in the Dallas metroplex area. Debbie loved to smile and make people laugh. She was a wonderful singer; she loved all kinds of music, loved being in the spot light and the life of the party as a young woman. Debbie had a magical green thumb; she loved plants and could grow anything. She enjoyed decorating her home and making it beautiful. Debbie loved jewelry and was very knowledgeable about the jewelry she collected.
Debbie made friends wherever she went, she never met a stranger. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her daughter and visit with friends. Debbie spent the last 4 years in Henderson County, close to her daughter and grandchildren. She had a very fulfilling life in the last few years; Debbie was happier than she had ever been. She was generous to others even though she had a very tight budget. She was a very loving and caring person who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Kristina Taylor of Eustace, daughter Kimberly Smith and husband Lonnie of Virginia, granddaughter Nicole Ballenger of Illinois, grandson Jason Ballenger of Gun Barrel City, granddaughter Marissa Ballenger of Eustace and granddaughter Gweneth Smith of Virginia, sister Sherri Pierce and husband Glenn of Minnesota, sister Lisa Danette Moen and husband David of Bedford, 4 nieces and 1 nephew, other loving family members and many more friends.
