Darrell Gene Blankenship III (Trey)

Darrell Gene Blankenship III (Trey) was born on August 17, 1995 in Athens, Texas to parents Darrell Gene and Lori Lynn (Bryant) Blankenship and entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2020 at the age of 24. Trey loved spending time with his family; especially his son. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing. Darrell loved movie nights, it was a time for family and friends to come together and have a great time. He attended Clearview Bible Church. Trey will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Trey was preceded in death by his father Darrell Blankenship, sister Bretteny Don Blankenship, maternal grandparents; Robert Bryant, Papa Wayne “Grasshopper” and Betty Neubauer and paternal grandfather Donnie Blankenship.

He is survived by his fiancé Lecresha Scruggs of Gun Barrel City, son Dayton Gene Blankenship of Gun Barrel City, mother Lori Blankenship of Richardson, brothers; Danny Blankenship of Gun Barrel City, Hayden Richardson and fiancé Shelby of Round Rock, Darrell Blankenship Jr. of Crandall, grandmother Delana Blankenship of Gun Barrel City, aunts; Sissy Kirkwood and husband Bobby of Gun Barrel City and Tina Spence of Waco, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
