Creig Matthews

Creig Matthews was born on August 31, 1946 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to parents Treasure L. Matthews and Virginia Glenn Armstrong and entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2015 at the age of 69. Creig was called “Papa” by his grandchildren; whom he adored. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Creig has a special prayer closet where he would go to be alone with his Lord and Savior. He graduated from Grandfalls Royalty High School and attended Grayson County Junior College. Creig served in The United States Air Force with the rank of A3C E-2. He worked in law enforcement and construction. Creig was a member of First Baptist Church of Mabank. He was a very loving, caring and giving man; who will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him.

Creig is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Matthews, son Rodney Matthews and wife Wendy, son Allen Tipton and wife Sandra, son Alan Allen and wife Racheal, son Steve Tipton and wife Catherin, grandchildren; Mason, William, Parker, London, Jordon, Alicia and Meaghan, brothers; H.C. Matthews and Byron V. Matthews, other loving family members and many more friends.
