Charles William Melton

Charles William Melton was born on May 11, 1939 in Savoy, Texas to parents Cethal Dallas and Annie Mae (Segers) Melton and entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2020 at the age of 81. Charles was a rancher and baled hay for a living. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses. He also enjoyed traveling; going to Colorado to go Elk hunting and gold mining. Charles also enjoyed his trips to Port Aransas. You could always find Charles sitting in the shop with his friends smoking a cigar and drinking a cold soda. He was an amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janette Melton and son Greg Melton.

He is survived by his daughters; Stacy Dickerson of Kaufman and Julie Krieger and husband Chip of Mabank, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Loraine Myers of Gun Barrel City, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
