Charles David McDonald, of Tool, Texas; was born to parents, Clarence J. McDonald and Arlene Bullock, on November 17, 1935. He passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Charles was a caring and doting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; who loved spending time with his family. Charles married the love of his life, Charlotte McDonald on June 22, 1972, in Mesquite, Texas. Christian by faith, Charles praised his Lord at the Calvary Baptist Church, where he was the Deacon. He served as a devoted Mason, as well. After retirement, Charles built two homes, one located in Crandall, Texas and the other in Tool, Texas; where he decided to move later. He will be truly missed by all of those he knew and met in his lifetime.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Jefferson McDonald and Arlene Bullock; loving late wife of 50 years, Charlotte Beth McDonald; and Bethany Birdwell.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Payne of Killeen, Texas; son, Cliff McDonald and his wife, Pamela of Irving, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Charles will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Eubank Cedar Creek, 601 S. 3rd St., Mabank, Texas 75147. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 601 S. 3rd St., Mabank, Texas 75147. A committal will occur Monday, February 6, 2023 at Tool Cemetery, Malakoff, TX.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon McDonald, Gary Haley, Danny Thompson, Dearl Lawhon, Larry Elliott and Scott Kinney.
